Dark Crystal, The

This is a lovely film by Jim Henson: One thousand years ago, the crystal lost it's light and thusly it's magical powers. Since then, the terrible skekses rule over the land. A prophecy says that only a gelfling can heal the dark crystal and bring peace to the world again. Jen tries to do just that, but he's being hunted and time is running out as well.

Deuce Bigalow (Collection)

Deuce Bigalow is a not-so-attractive fish tank cleaner. One day, gigolo Antoine Laconte asks him to guard his house while he is in Europe for business. Deuce agrees, but accidently breaks the very expensive fish tank. In order to earn enough money to replace it in time for Antoine's return, he decides to temporarily work as a 'man-whore'. His clients are quite interesting... But suddenly he has a police officer on his trail. In the sequel, Deuce tries to help a friend who is acused of having murdered several gigolos in Amsterdam. To achieve that, he once again acts as a man-whore himself. - These films are highly praised comedy, although I myself can only laugh about the first part.

Dreamer: Inspired by a true story

Seems to be about horses and hore races at first glance, but truly is a family story that especially focuses on a father/daughter relationship.
The horse barn of the family Crane has been without any horses for years, due to the financial difficulties of the family. When the horse Sonya breaks one foreleg in a race, the owner decides to sacrifice the animal, but Ben Crane accepts the injured horse as part of three months salaries owed by Palmer. His daughter Cale becomes very connected with Sonya, and while the horse is rehabilitated, the wounds in the Crane family are also healed.
