I am Dina

A little girl accidentally causes her mother's death. Her father blames and neglects her in consequence. She grows up somewhat wild and develops a fascination for death. When she is old enough, she marries her father's friend Jacob. But he cannot cope with her eccentricies for long. Dina slowly takes over business and proves to be a very strong and independent person. Many people cross her path and seal their fate along the way. Only one man seems resist her.

Jane Eyre

(Referring to 1997 TV production.) Jane Eyre is an orphan who becomes a governess at a mysterious manor. During the night she often hears strange noises, but questioning other servants doesn't bring her any closer to the solution of the riddle. When she finally meets the Lord of the house, she finds him to be a brooding and imperious man. Nontheless, she falls in love with him. However, the inferiority of her circumstances, a beautiful rich lady and the manor's secret don't heighten her chances to gain her master's affection.
