Rear Window

My favourite Hitchcock. A photojournalist who is bound to a wheelchair due to a broken leg starts to spy on his neighbours, because he is (understandably) bored. He becomes convinced that the man opposite has murdered his wife. At the beginning, his high society girlfriend and his nurse think he's crazy, but then they become curious and start investigating, too.

Resident Evil - Trilogy

The Umbrella corporation is one of the most powerful companies in the world. One day, a virus (the T-virus) escapes in a secret facility called "The Hive". It turns the staff into hungry-for-flesh zombies. Alice, who is suffering from amnesia due to being exposed to a nerve gas, and a military unit must try to shut down the computer. However, the virus escapes and infects the rest of the world. Alice has to find out that the Umbrella scientists have turned her into one of their "projects". She now may be the only one able to prevent the extinction of the human race. (- Wow, that sounds pathetically dramatic.)

Room with a View

Based on the novel by E.M. Forster. Lucy Honeychurch and her cousin visit Florence in the early 1900's. To their great dismay they get rooms without views at their hotel. Father and son Emerson, both quite eccentric but kind persons, remedy the situation. Back in England, Lucy gets engaged to conservative Cecil. But the Emersons, who move into her neighborhood, just cannot agree to that.
